We are so overwhelmed with technology that I often wonder how many stories we miss because our noses are in iPhones, iPads, and online. What ever happened to good old fashioned, face to face conversation? It is our job as journalists to keep a community in conversation with itself.
Today, I urge you to go around a corner you would normally avoid because it has traffic. Find a spot where you can talk to “purple people” – people who look and sound different than those we normally put on television.
